Duration
2020-2021
Tук-Там connects Bulgarians abroad with opportunities at home. Our goal was to evolve the platform from a community website into a career and knowledge ecosystem — balancing emotional belonging with practical functionality.
Challenge
The legacy platform offered rich content but lacked focus.
Users struggled to navigate between community, job, and donation areas. We needed to clarify intent, merge parallel journeys, and align the brand’s tone with its impact.
Research
Through interviews and JTBD workshops with Bulgarians abroad, we mapped motivations around three core goals:
Find and connect
Work and give back
Stay informed
Concept vs. mental model map aligned user expectations with platform behavior.
UX Strategy
We consolidated the information architecture into a modular system, defined key flows, and simplified roles into intuitive entry points: Dashboard, Work, Clubs, Events, People, and Guide.
System-level consistency achieved through reusable cards and a responsive grid across all platform areas.
Career Hub
The new job search experience integrates curated listings, company profiles, and newsletters — turning friction into flow and bringing focus to value.
Mobile experience
A unified navigation bar connects all key actions — jobs, events, and community — powered by reusable components and consistent affordances.
Modular card-based system for events, jobs, and clubs with consistent hierarchy.
Outcome
The redesign turned a static site into an active social-career network.
It helped the team launch new programs faster, measure engagement better, and scale the community sustainably.
+38% engagement on job listings
2× faster navigation time on mobile
Improved donation conversion and member onboarding
Designing Tuk-Tam meant creating a space that feels like home — even before people decide to return.
