Design system for MYX's telecom infrastructure scale

Role
System design
Duration
2023-2024
As MYX - a telecom infrastructure digital twin startup grew from 40 to 150 people within a year, design and delivery became fragmented across tools and teams. To restore alignment, I built a modular design system connecting four layers — branding, UI components, AI research, and sprint delivery — into one continuous design loop.

Challenge
Fast feature delivery created visual and process inconsistencies.
Different teams built isolated UI patterns without shared principles, making scaling across B2B and B2C products difficult.
The goal: unify design and implementation through structure — not enforcement.
Foundation
The new system began with brand consolidation — color, typography, and component language — extended through a scalable Figma framework.
Each product sprint plugged into this shared foundation, reinforcing alignment between design, dev, and marketing outputs.

Research layer
Generative AI tools were integrated into the design workflow — used to synthesize insights, validate hypotheses, and accelerate discovery.
Each sprint’s findings informed both new prototypes and updates to the system library.
Research and discovery workspace integrating AI-assisted synthesis and sprint mapping.
Delivery & Collaboration layer
The modular system enabled faster sprint execution and improved team alignment.
Design assets and UI components were automatically linked across projects, ensuring coherent releases with minimal rework.
Delivery sprints interfaces with componentized widgets and modular dashboard structure.
System in Practice
The framework supported both product evolution and brand scalability — connecting operational tools, marketing pages, and customer-facing applications under one system.

Outcome
The result was a cohesive, scalable design foundation that improved speed, visual consistency, and cross-team communication.
The design system became the structural layer for all subsequent MYX initiatives, including the Digital Twin Viewer and Reconciliation Tool.
-> Unified visual and process framework across all MYX products
-> Faster iteration cycles and higher design–dev parity
-> Seamless collaboration between designers, PMs, and engineers
Learning
Scaling design isn’t about adding structure — it’s about building loops that let teams learn and adapt faster.
A healthy system evolves by design, not enforcement.
“Design Ops isn’t about control — it’s about creating the conditions for consistency to emerge naturally.”
